A recently-announced UFC 85: Bedlam bout featuring middleweight contenders Chris Leben and Michael Bisping has been scratched after Leben, was sentenced to 35 days in jail today over the incident, according to Clackamas County, Oregon officials.   The Wrestling Observer is reporting that backup plans were in place should Leben be unable to fight, though the details of those plans have not yet been announced by the promotion. The UFC may opt to find a replacement for Leben or re-book the bout for a future event. Le combat annoncé pour l'UFC 85, entre Chris Leben et Michael Bisping, vient de tomber à l'eau apres la condamnation de Leben à 35 jours de prison. L'UFC peut encore trouver un remplaçant à Leben ou reporter le combat à un futur evenement.

Le Canadien Joe Doerksen qui a subi 3 défaites consécutives au sein de l’organisation ZUFFA (UFC +WEC), s’est vu libéré de son contrat par l’UFC. Après Kalib Starnes et Travis Lutter, Doerksen devient donc le troisième combattant à être remercié ces derniers jours. Un fait à noter les trois athlètes de la division des poids moyens ont tous subi une défaite lors de l’événement UFC 83 à Montréal.
